Maybe you remember that Google earlier this year made a special doodle to honour Gideon Sundback, who invented the zipper. The doodle (video here) used the complete homepage of the search engine something Google doesn’t do very often, before that the last time Google did this was Christmas last year and another great doodle from last year taking over the complete homepage was to honour the first publication of Polish sci-fi author Stanislaw Lem.
Winsor McCay – Little Nemo in Google-land
Now Google does it again and how. On Monday Google will place an interactive comic strip on all homepages of the search engine because of the 107th anniversary of Winsor McCay’s Little Nemo in Slumberland. Winsor McCay was an American cartoonist and animator best known for this comic strip starring Little Nemo. The doodle is based on Little Nemo in Slumberland but in this case the story is called Little Nemo in Google-land.
Like you can see in the video below you can click-through the story. The logo only works in modern browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer 9 and 10 but not in Internet Explorer versions 7 and 8.

Artists should remember that “charming” is an emotion too.
Um, for about 700 years it’s been an adjective, sometimes a verb. An emotion? That’s news to me. So, “I need to express all this charming I’m feeling” is grammatically correct all-of-a-sudden? Golly!
“charming” is not an emotion. “charmed” is. People should know that there’s something as great as Little Nemo. I damn the creators of the fish Nemo, which polluted our eyes and minds.
