I do love Pinterest as a user, but finding it challenging to use for our clients. Then again I work in PPC rather than Social, so it’s no surprise I should be at a bit of a loss!
Certainly one to watch though – for one of our US clients, Pinterest is the fifth larger referrer of traffic to their site – so finding ways to make it work for them could be of massive benefit to their business.
As ever with these things, it’ll be interesting to see how they look to monetise it further down the line.
Yea definitely I would have to agree with you. Pinterest is growing super rapidly as a social network. When I think of Pinterest I think about posting favorite images – for fun if you will, not so much for business purposes. Do you think it will help businesses build their brand? Would like to know
It isn’t for business. At all. It is a scrapbooking app. I wish people would stop trying to turn every social network on the web into some money making opportunity.
I’ve been on it a few months and it’s interesting, but I think it still needs to evolve. Right now, I’m not seeing a whole lot of purpose to it other than to drive traffic to other websites via the images. Of course, that may be enough.
