Even though Experian Hitwise told us Social Media is the fastest growing industry on the web, and that it has outgrown porn, it doesn’t mean that porn is gone. Far from. 12% of websites on the web are still Porn sites. The infographic from Onlinemba below shows just how “big” this industry still is.

Some of the figures in that infographic are wrong.
For example, 25% of all search queries does NOT equal 68 million. Taking Google as a starting point, they process roughly 50,000 queries every second (it’s probably much more than that now, but let’s be conservative) which is over 4 billion queries a day. 25% of that is around 1 billion, which is an order of magnitude more than 68 million.
