It seems like companies like Google are constantly working on improving their products, not just on how they work, but also on how they look. One of Google’s products is YouTube. It seems that YouTube might be getting ready for a major redesign.
Last week the first tests were seen from YouTube redesigning the website. Techlaze showed screens of a new homepage which is very different from the one we are used to. There seems to be an emphasis on your channels and subscriptions in the sidebar. Now there is also a video of a user who was part of the testing group of the new design.
The new design has some interesting new elements in it.
Google+
As we noted before, Google is doing everything to make Google+ the center op attention. Which means it has to appear everywhere we go. And since YouTube is the largest videosite and the second largest search engine out there, it makes sense for Google to integrate Google+ more into YouTube. We saw it already on Google+ where a YouTube button showed up. But it also is going the other way around.
In the new design Google is doing just that by adding the feature that if somebody shares a video with you on Google+ it will automatically also show up on your YouTube homescreen.
Other changes are:
A new favicon
New video uploads screens
Improved video pages
Take a look at some of the changes:
What do you think, is this an improvement?
