Jon Myers appointed as Head of Account Management Yahoo! UK & Ireland

So, I’ve got a bit of an “exclusive” for you, ok well so it’s not actually an exclusive as NMA has already written about it this morning, but not many in the Search industry knows this news yet. Obviously I’m in a favourable position for this news, since I’m married to Jon and about to have his baby (ehm). In fact I’ve of course known for quite a while and it’s been painful not being able to say anything.

I’m delighted to share with all the State of Search readers that Jon Myers, previously Head of Search and Associate Director at MediaVest Manchester has been appointed as Head of Account Management for Yahoo! UK & Ireland, and will be leading the smooth transition managing the relationships with agencies and brands as they transfer to the new platform; Search Alliance (Yahoo and Bing merge), Jon will also be responsible for Display relationship.

Jon has over 12 years experience in the digital industry, mostly known for his expertise within the paid search and SEO arena, where he has a high profile as one of the leading search experts in the UK (and I’m not just saying that because he’s my husband, he is the “search fossil” I’m just a “novice”). This year, Jon was also appointed as one of few representatives to be on the Global SES Advisory board representing the UK.

Congratulations Jon, and maybe more so; “good catch Yahoo!”…
