The web is open and free. Which means everybody can be who they want. Or you might also say: anybody can create who they want. The web has many fake profiles. Something Google for example tries to prevent from happening at Google+ with their real name policy.
Whether that will work remains to be seen. In the mean time other social networks like Twitter and Facebook are filled with fake accounts. We’ve talked about how to recognize Twitter bots before. This time we look at Facebook and we get help from Barracudalabs who produced a great inforgraphic telling us what to look out for when trying to spot Facebook fake profiles.
