We’re in the middle of summer (or at least, that’s what the Calendar says) but already it is business as usual for many, including some conference organizers. As you know State of Search is the place to be when it comes to events in the search industry so we want to keep you updated on what is going on around those events.
SES San Francisco 2012
Next week the first conference already kicks off in San Francisco, USA. There SES starts the second part of their year with one of the biggest conferences in the search industry: SES San Francisco 2012. The conference has many familiar faces again and has an agenda which has everything for every search marketer. State of Search will also be there and will be doing interviews together with sponsor Linkdex. Founder Bas van den Beld will be part of the expert panels on two days. Remember, we need your help on a little experiment there and you can win a ticket by downloading the whitepaper from Linkdex!
Thinkvisibility
The first weekend of September always is “Thinkvis-weekend”. And this year is no exception. Thinkvisibilty is setting up for another great day with great speakers and great entertainment. This is one which is always different and especially the “Your time to shine!” panel brings out unexpected talent. Make sure you are there, we will be!
Brighton SEO
Brighton SEO is organized by one of State of Search long term bloggers Kelvin Newman. The conference has grown immensely and is now the biggest free search event in Europe. Tickets to the free event were ‘sold’ out within a jiffy but there are still tickets for the workshops. BrightonSEO has five workshops: Advanced Google Analytics, Advanced Link Building, Content Marketing, Implementing Rich-Snippets and Mircroformats and using SEO APIs. Sign up for that here.
UK Searchawards
After winning the European Searchawards we off course are also looking forward to the UK Searchawards which are taking place at The Emirates Stadium, London on Thursday 1 November. The UK Searchawards are now open for 2012 entries with a closing date of Friday 14 September. On the judging panel this time there will be a few State of Search – familiar faces with amongst others Nichola Stott and Bas van den Beld judging.
SEOktoberfest
It’s the smallest and the biggest conference in one: SEOktoberfest. With only a very limited number of attendees (25) it is a small conference, but in speakers line up and popularity and the amount of information shared its one of the biggest ones out there, if not the biggest. The tickets were sold out really quickly and there is a waiting list to actually get a ticket, but there are other options, like a “SEO scavenger hunt” which is organized by Link Research Tools. The SEO scavenger hunt will have a set of challenges that people have to perform in a speedy fashion and the first person who submits all answers correct will win the prize. The winner gets a full SEOktoberfest ticket, hotels booked and travel budget. Worth a try I would say.
Also there is a “Grand SEOktoberfest 5th Anniversary Charity BBQ“. By donating money you could be on that BBQ event. If you are there you will not only have great food, but will also see panels with people like Dave Naylor, Joost de Valk, Alex Schultz of Facebook, Bob Rains and others. We might be there, but we won’t be blogging, this content is specifically for those attending after all.
Dublin Web Summit
It’s a bit away, but we wanted to point you at the Dublin Web Summit already, since that is a conference about more than search and our founder is speaking there. Go check out the amazing line up!
SMX East
Search Marketing Expo East in October in New York has released their ‘Agenda at a glance‘ which shows they have revamped the way way they are doing the line up of the conference, with no less than five tracks at one time in three days. If you can’t find what you are looking for… They’ve pinpointed the focus of the talks so you’ll know exactly what type of session on what topic you can expect.
Searchlove London & Boston
Finally Searchlove has announced the line up of speakers for SearchLove London & Boston 2012. Speakers include Rand Fishkin, Wil Reynolds, Justin Briggs, Lisa Myers, Will Critchlow, Paul Madden, David Mihm, Cindy Krum, Michael King, Stephen Pavlovich and many more!
