Everyday compassion at Google: presentation by Google’s Chade-Meng Tan

Google is not only looked at because of their search techniques, or their advertising skills, or all the different products they have out there already, they are also looked at from a Human Resource point of view. Working at Google is supposedly something very special. One of the people behind that ‘success’ is Chade-Meng Tan. He was of Google’s earliest engineers and is now Google’s “Jolly Good Fellow”: the head of personal.

Chade-Meng Tan was invited to speak at one of the TED Conferences. This one is in New York, in the UN building. He talks about how Google practices compassion in its everyday business.

Jonathan Rosenberg about responsible leadership

Johathan Rosenberg is product chief at Google, at least for now. He turned in his resignation last week when the new plans from Larry Page became clear within Google. Rosenberg is a highly respected leader within Google. So he should be worth it to listen to when he talks about leadership. He did so at a CMC event about a month ago. He discusses responsible leadership using his experiences as a senior vice president at Google. Interesting insights.

Eric Schmidt about leadership

We share presentations from Eric Schmidt more often here at State of Search. He is a good speaker after all, and there is always something interesting he might be saying. And when Eric Schmidt talks about leadership you should keep your ears open, because that is a subject he knows all about.

In this video Eric Schmidt speaks at the IAB Annual Leadership Meeting in Palm Springs on February 27, 2011.

Eric Schmidt speaking at DLD

Last week Eric Schmidt made a presence at the DLD conference in Munich. The Germans were very excited to have the almost ex-CEO of Google on stage. It is there that he announced that Google is expanding in Europe. And not just in London, they are also growing in Germany.

In his talk he adresses the next decade. And you have to admit: he is a good speaker. He had a nice quote again, children are either asleep or online..
