Killer Search Operator Tactics for the Social Marketer

The International Search Summit took place in London on Thursday at the British Library. I was due to write a full wrap up but there was so much great content, that many sessions deserve a post of their own.

This particular session was without a doubt one of the stand outs not only because it was presented by the awesome Marty Weintraub but the information presented came from an aimClear study of 7 Search Engines, 45 social media platforms and various countries for actionable SEO insights that has not even been published yet. … Continue Reading

Get Yourself A Ticket to ISS With Hotel Based on Your Knowledge

In a few weeks time London sees yet another version of the International Search Summit. If I wouldn’t have been doing a training session that day I know I would have been there, but luckily for us there will be presence from State of Search at the International Search Summit on November 24: next to blogging we will see Annabel Hodges take the stage!

The London edition however sees a lot more interesting speakers. Martin McDonald will be joining Annabel on stage for example. And what to think of Marty Weintraub from Aimclear and Kristjan Mar Hauksson of Nordic eMarketing as speakers?

State of Search is happy to be mediapartner of ISS and is honored it can offer one of our readers the “full ISS experience”. You can win a ticket to the International Search Summit on November 24, including an overnight stay in a hotel, with compliments of the ISS organization. … Continue Reading

Yet Another Index? Making an Impact in Russa – International Search Summit 2011 #SMXISS

Next up is Preston Carey, Business Development Director at Yandex, giving us an insight into the Russian search engine. Firstly an introduction and some context around the Russian market.

Markets in the developed countries are not really growing very much anymore, the two places that are booming are Russia and Asia. Russia is the seventh largest market in terms on internet users, sitting just behind Germany. Russia only has 43% internet penetration at the moment but it is growing hugely year-on-year so could easily be taking over Germany within the next 18 months.yandex logo Yet Another Index?
