In a few weeks time SMX East starts in New York. The organization has again been able to make an impressive agenda with high level speakers from around the globe. State of Search is media partner and will be bringing you updates from New York and also heading up to the event we will bring you great information (and a discount).

We already talked to Danny Sullivan about the show and his views on the world of search. In the next weeks we will be publishing a few more interviews with speakers at the conference. Today we are proud to open this series with one of the nicest and most fun people in search: Julie Joyce, who you might know from SEO Chicks.

Julie Joyce owns the link development firm Link Fish Media and is one of the founding members of the SEO Chicks blog, and is a regular contributor to Search Engine Land’s Link Week column. (more…)

Conference season has started again. If you are an eager (search) marketer wanting to learn stuff you can really make some steps in the next few months with lots of conferences around. Off course State of Search will be present. Sometimes speaking, sometimes blogging.

Mid-September we will be at SMX Stockholm where no less than three bloggers are speaking. A week before that however is SMX New York. We will try to get coverage from there too. Leading up to SMX East we are already looking forward to this conference. We talked to organizer, editor in chief of Searchengineland, and probably the most famous person in search next to Matt Cutts, Danny Sullivan about the show and his view on the current developments in search. Danny talks about his job as an organizer, what we can expect from the show and also gives us an insight into his thoughts about the changing industry. (more…)

She kindly agreed to give us an insight view on what she is doing there. With her camera she records how she experiences SES San Francisco 2011. (more…)

It has already been two weeks since the A4Uexpo in Munich, but I still want to cover the “Panda-session”, because it was one of the best sessions at this conference. Ralf Schwoebel of the downloadportal Tradebit, one of the victims of Panda, started the session explaining what changes he did to get back on track. After that Dixon Jones, Marketing Manager of Majestic SEO, showed the results of some research Majestic SEO did.
