International Social Media Summit Announced

If you are a regular State of Search reader you will be familiar with the International Search Summit. This conference is all about International Search matters and is organised several times per year, most of the time alongside SMX.

The International Search Summit is now expanding into the world of social, something the organisers are already doing with their other initiative, the International SEO School. Starting this September they will organise the International Social Media Summit in Las Vegas alongside SMX Social Media Marketing. (more…)

Since I’ve only recently come back from SES San Francisco I’ve decided to share my thoughts on the advantages of attending SEO conferences and expos to provide you with insights on what’s hot and what is not!

As you can imagine conferences are YOUR chance to finally network with some of the finest minds in the digital sphere whilst listening to industry leaders latest offerings …however looking back part of me wonders if I would have missed much would I not have attended ‘some’ conferences. (more…)

Give us Your Restaurant Results in San Francisco!

SES San Francisco is coming up next week and I will personally be there for several reasons. First of all I will be making videos there, together with our friends from Linkdex. But I will not just be there for State of Search, but also as one of the ‘experts’ on the Roundtable forums. I will be talking there about international search and differences in international SEO.

So you can see that the ‘theme’ for SES San Francisco in my case is very much focussed on international differences, Geo location, something Pete Young talked about yesterday as well. And for that I would like your help, to make something really nice for SES San Francisco. (more…)

The #Mozcon Chronicles – Day 1 Morning Sessions

SEOmoz MozCon is probably one of the most looked for Web Marketing conferences of the year.

Not anymore only focused on SEO, but widening its attention to everything digital marketing: SEO (still a lot, for sure), Social Media, Content Marketing, CRO and Paid Search.

We will try our best to offer to you the most important things shared by the speakers here in Seattle, but if we will miss something, please forgive us because it is true that tons of cool stuff is shared by all of them in light speed talking velocity.

We will present you two daily posts, one about the morning sessions and the second about the afternoon ones.

A4U Expo Goes New York

State of Search has been a media partner of A4U Expo ever since the site started and has been traveling with A4U to London, Munich and recently Barcelona. Next year our trip might be a bit longer, since A4U Expo now officially announced it will be taking the show to the US: in March 2013 A4U will be organizing the first show across the big ocean: Global Performance Marketing Conference New York.

The concept will look the same as the shows in Europe with two days of conference and speakers on different topics which will all be of help of affiliates and networks attending. (more…)

I was delighted to win the a4u competition last week. I’ve never been to an a4u expo and it was a great opportunity to go out to the event, visit Barcelona and meet Bas of course! Never one to pass up new opportunities, I was excited to learn more about the world of affiliate marketing. (more…)
