Following a 4 year wait since Google Affiliate Network (formely DoubleClick) was established, today sees the offical UK launch of Google Affiliate Network, launching exclusively with our friends over at A4u. Following rapid growth in the US Google will be bringing its Affiliate Network across Europe soon, but initially the UK will be the base for activity as it starts the important step of understanding the unique needs of the local markets before expansion is continued.

You can look forward to the integration of many Performance technologies including Coull’s Video Advertising Network, Ring Revenue’s call tracking system, plus a host of data insights. Other Google technologies such as Google+, analytics and adsense will be key integrations, likely to make a very attractive offer to affiliates as Google battles for network market share. (more…)

Helen Southgate of IAB UK about Networks, Agencies and Their Roles

At A4U Expo we interviewed several people. One of them was Helen Southgate, who is Senior Online Marketing Manager for BSKYB and chair of the IAB Affiliate Council. She organized a session in which should bring Agencies and Networks get closer together. A next step to drive the industry forward. The Affiliate Industry is growing up.
