link-research-tools

Yesterday CEMPER.COM announced that after 3 years of innovation of their tools, they will be stopping link building services as a separate service to new clients and changing focus towards the creation of more Link Research Tools.

We spoke to Christoph C. Cemper about the change of Direction and about the New Link Detox Tools.

“By no means is link building a dead end street, but without the proper knowledge and data, it’s easy to fall for ‘quick cheap link’ scams that can definitely get you in trouble really quick.” Christoph C. Cemper (more…)

interview-with-mike-king

While we were in New York at SMX East – we thought we would visit the iAcquire Offices to meet Mike King (@ipullrank).

Had a great chat with Mike (thanks again for letting us take over your office!), and found the answers to many questions such as:

What Tools does Mike use regularly? What’s all this about a cookbook? Building Tools, ‘Big-Ups’ to Bill Hunt and Tom Anthony, and an insider look at how iAcquire work with clients and develop tools in house.

Watch the video interview to find out this and more!

Life in the Expo Hall – 48 Hours with Majestic SEO – Pubcon 2012

majestic-header

Having been spent a lot of time as a conference blogger in the last year writing an overview of speaker sessions, I thought I would turn the tables  and spend some time with the people that in essence pay for the conferences we attend - the advertisers and exhibitors.

I recently had the privilege to spend a Bussmans holiday in Las Vegas at Pubcon 2012 on the Majestic SEO stand to find out what it takes to be an exhibitor whilst still continuing to market and run an award winning business.

Not quite a fly on the wall documentary, but an insight into how much hard work the advertisers and exhibitors put in to making the Expo Hall just as interesting to visit and how it is so much more than free mouse mats and flyers.

Enterprise scale API for Social Crawlytics

social-crawlytics-api

Identifying your competitor’s most shared content has just got a whole lot easier…

Further to our recent post on new features in Social Crawlytics,  Yousaf Sekander at www.rocketmill.co.uk tells us they have recently finished working on an enterprise scale API. This means means that now anyone can use the Social Crawlytics API to pull social stats into their applications/dashboards and use all the features of Social Crawlytics through the API.

Loved by many including Mike King at iAcquire (AKA @ipullrank) who had this to say:

“SocialCrawlytics is an invaluable tool that fills a need for all digital marketers and the launch of API makes it that much easier to integrate it into everything we’re doing at iAcquire and in my own personal work. I encourage everyone to jump on it!” – Mike King - Director of Inbound Marketing at iAcquire

Blekko announce ROCKZi embed feature

blekko-rockzi

In July, Blekko introduced ROCKZi – a social news site to complement the Blekko search engine and generate social signals. This month, the Blekko team have introduced an embed feature to “un-box” results and feed them directly to site owners.

With a Tagline “read, vote, rock” we are expecting great things from the Blekko news feed, and with Digg being revived recently by Betaworks (as mentioned in our SMX Keynote Conversation post), the social news space is about to get a lot more cluttered but potentially a lot more interesting,
